It seems strange to be in charge of a detail. My father didn't want to come with us. He said he had some other matters to take care of, but secretly, I think he wanted me to have this opportunity.
I also have no idea what Micah is doing, and I can't imagine there's anything back in the village that is more important than this, but he's not with us either, and the further away from him I sprint, the more my heart aches.
It is an awful feeling, one I am not used to. One I hope stops soon because I don't even want to acknowledge the truth of it, let alone continue to experience it.
