The ride to Andrew’s pack was awkward as hell. No one said a thing as we rode in complete silence. The only thing happening was that Lauren and Andrew shared looks from time to time. He looked like he wanted to tell her something, almost like he was sorry, but kept his mouth shut.
When we pulled into his pack territory, the former Alpha and Luna were there to greet us. “Welcome. I am sorry that we couldn’t meet under better circumstances.”
I shook his hand, offering as genuine as a smile as I could. “Same. These last few days have been insane. Forgive me for keeping Alpha Andrew here for so long. I only wanted to make sure that we fully understood each other going forward.”
