Demetri's POV
The book I read was so interesting I could not wait to read more, so the following day early, I sneaked into the saferoom and closed the door behind me. I open the secret room door and close it behind me, then sneak down to the basement room. I make sure to close that door behind me as well. I left the book I was reading on the table as I planned to read it further today. I walk to the table, but the book is not there. I walked to the place where I found it on the bookshelves, and there it was. I took the book from the shelf and was about to open it to start reading again when I heard something moving behind me. I turn around slowly.
