THE room was dark. She heard nothing but the sound of the television at a low volume from the other side of the room. Her neck hurt when she tried to move it. She was not able to check the extent of the damage since her hands were tied to her back. She was seated at the moment. It was a sturdy wooden chair. She tried to stand up but was unable to do so. From her hands down to her feet were tied to the chair. The last thing that Keena remembered was walking towards her car in the school parking lot. She felt a hard object hit the back of her head.
