Sebastian
I left my room and rushed to find Aunt Grizelda and Lillian. When I got to Aunt Grizelda's side of the castle, I knocked in her door. "Come in." She shouted happily. I opened the door and saw her searching through some of her books.
"Seb! I'm glad you're here. Come. I wanted to ask you a few questions about Cassandra. I have been searching through some of my old spellbooks, trying to see if I can find a spell to locate Dante's place. I was hoping that knowing a little more might help me get an idea of which spell to use. It's a long shot, but it's worth a shot." She said, shrugging.
"Scrap that idea. I need your help, Aunt Grizelda. I need to know what kind of creature can break through a mating bond and communicate with you. I need to understand how the fûck that is possible." I said, gritting my teeth.
"What? What are you talking about?" She said with concern. "I tried to use the mate bond to contact Cassandra again, but in her place was creature, I think. He told me that who he was wasn't important and that Cassandra was with him. He said she was supposed to have been his mate first and that he was connected to her like she was connected to him. He also said he took her memories away from her, and he's using her for his own pleasure. I don't know if I can take much more of the pain I'm feeling." I said with a stressful tone.
She opened her mouth to speak, but a white hot searing pain shot through my whole body. I clawed at my chest and screamed loudly in pain as I collapsed on the ground. "SEB!" Aunt Grizelda yelled in panic. She started screaming for help, but I couldn't hear a word she said.
I heard something else. Something that shattered my heart and angered me until I felt I was going to explode. Voices. I could hear Cassandra's and that creature's voice.
"That's my good girl. See what you do to me. I'm so hard for you, little one. Oh God, that feels so good. Yes... take what you need, baby." The creature's voice rasped. "Oh... I... what's happening?" Cassandra panted in exertion. "You're giving yourself pleasure, my love. Let me help you." The creature whispered reverently. I'm c-cûmming! Oh God!" Cassandra yelped out. "That's it. Such a good girl. Come with me, love." The creature grunted out.
I wanted to rip his head clear off of his fûcking body and burn his body until there was nothing left but ashes. How dare he touch what was mine. I didn't know what was happening, but my body began shaking violently and completely out of control. It felt like my body was being torn apart, and my bones were being broken and put back wrong. My skin felt like it was being burned from my body.
"Oh my god. He's shifting!" Screamed a familiar voice, but I couldn't rationalize who it belonged to. "Seb. Son. It's your father. Just take a deep breath, my boy. I'm right here. Don't fight the pain. Learn to give in. Let it consume you, and only then will everything be okay."
I lifted my hand to the sky and tried to reach for Cassandra. I could see her in the distance, but then a huge bird like image shadows her, and then she disappears from my sight.
"NOOOO... Cassandra. D-Don't leave me." I choked out. "Shhh... we will find her Seb. I promise we will find her. She hasn't left you. Please, son, you have to calm down." My father croaked out and rocked my body back and forth.
"That birdlike creature has her. He won't let her go. Make her remember father. Make her fûcking remember." I screamed frantically as I pounded on his chest repeatedly.
"Did you say birdlike creature?" Another familiar voice chirped in. Lillian. "Yes." I whispered roughly in a voice I didn't recognize. "My God, you finally shifted. You look absolutely amazing. How is this possible?" Lucifer said with shock, but also he had a hint of awe in his voice. He was standing beside Lillian.
I looked at everyone in confusion. Shifted? What were they going on about? I lifted my hands and gasped sharply. Sure enough. The skin on my arm was the color of fire, and my claws were sharp and pointy. I stumbled as I tried to stand. I rushed to the mirror and inhaled sharply.
There before me was Zender. He was me. I was looking at him from within. I was merely a thought in his head. He was tall. He turned his body and there coming out of his back where black wings. They looked almost angelic but yet so demonic. They were absolutely beautiful. He walked closer to the mirror and examined his face.
He had fangs coming out of his mouth, and his eyes were bright orange. He turned around to face everyone, but when he turned, everyone was kneeling before him. "Why are you kneeling? I'm not King yet. Besides, you are my family." Zender said firmly with his eyebrows raised in alarm.
"We didn't have a choice, son. You have a very powerful aura that leaks out of you. We are at your mercy." My father said gruffly. He was shifted into his demon form, along with Lillian. Aunt Grizelda was a witch, so she was still in her original form.
"When you fully shifted, everyone who is able to shift was forced to shift into their true form and brought to their knees. You are a very powerful hybrid son. You must remember that." My father said, trying to get up, but was still forced to kneel.
"Please, get up," Zender whispered roughly, "I don't like watching you all bow before me. It seems wrong. I'm still me, just a little different."
Even then, no one could move. "Try saying something, Kingly." Lillian said softly. "Kingly? Is that even a word?" Lucifer snorted loudly. Lillian scoffed indignantly and smacked him upside the head. "Ouch." Lucifer grumbled while he rubbed his head where she hit him. Everyone else laughed, and the tension in the room started to fade.
"Hmm.. Kingly, you say?" Zender said, lost in thought. He snapped his fingers, "Aha! I got it." He stood up straight and coughed out a little, trying to hold back a laugh, "You may rise, my beloved demons and witches."
It was like the power had been cut off instantly. Everyone rose with nothing, holding them down. "I could get used to this." Zender said, smirking. "Don't get any ideas. I'm still your father." My father said gruffly but shook his head and chuckled softly.
"So, now that we have sorted that out, can we please get back to why we came here in the first place? Seb, you mentioned a birdlike creature earlier. What did you mean. Explain to us. Please, this is very important." Lillian said cautiously.
Zender took a deep breath and let it out slowly, "Sebastian tried to contact Cassandra earlier, but a male voice cut through the bond and told him that Cassandra was with him and that she was supposed to be his mate first. Then he proceeded to say that Cassandra and him were connected since the beginning. He said he took her memories away and that he would only give them back to her when he was ready."
"The reason why I came to the surface and shifted was because the man or maybe he's a creature sent clips of him giving my mate an... orgâsm. They were doing things, and Cassandra begged for more. Sebastian felt the pain of that coupling, and I couldn't take it another second and became so angry that I shifted without meaning to. And then, in the middle of Sebastian shifting, he saw Cassandra, and then the shadow of a birdlike creature covered her and then disappeared. That's pretty much all of it."
Lillian's eyes widened with shock, and she shook her head, "No. No. No. It's impossible. He hasn't been around for centuries. There is no way he is connected to Cassandra... unless..."
"Unless what?" Zender snapped out impatiently. "Unless he somehow impregnated her mother." She said with concern.
"Who is he? I need to know who I am dealing with." Zender said, growling. "You will never be able to destroy him. He is the meaning of resurrection and power. He lost his kind a long time ago. I don't know how he would have a mate, let alone it be Cassandra, but if he found a way through impregnation, then we have to be careful and very cautious. We need to keep our eyes open and always look over our shoulders." Lillian said, shaking her head rapidly.
"WHO IS HE?" Zender roared furiously.
Lillian looked down as her lip quivered, "Bennu, the God of the Phoenix, and he just happens to be my big brother."
