Julius & Juliana

CHAPTER 8

For some time, Juliana was only able to contact Julius on phone. She chatted with him on social media especially on w******p. She continued to apologize to him for the way her father had dismissed him, letting him know that all he said about her being bethroted to a prince was nothing but lies and a make up story to discourage him from dating her. She was so annoyed with her father for restricting her movement to see Julius that she began to develop hatred for him. She regretted having been born by him and decided to let him know that if he doesn't allow her date Julius, she would not marry any other suitor that may later come for her hand in marriage. She hated the fact that she wasn't allowed to choose by herself, who to love or not. Her father had secretly instructed some guards to monitor her movements so that she couldn't visit Julius anytime soon, although she was unaware of this. When she was asked by her mother if she had fallen in love with him, she blushed to admit it but in truth, she knew she has fallen in love with him right from the day they met that she was rescued by him. It was an unforgettable experience for her, something she would forever cherish in her memory.

She thought that the best way for her to personally acknowledge him for risking his life and going through severe pains for her sake was to give him her heart, after all, he is a very handsome and brave young man. She loved his guts and didn't mind if he was poor or not. She was ready to do anything for him, just to thank him more for what he did for her. She was willing to say yes to him if he was ever going to propose to her anytime soon.

She was invited to perform in another event at a place not too far from her palace. The show was holding in 3 weeks and at a different venue, not the place where she had been attacked by Julius's guards. She heard that the organizers were very rich and people from all walks of life, including big personalities and celebrities were coming to watch her perform live.

She posted the news on her official fan group on all her social media handle for her fans and followers to see and be informed. Majority of her fans promised to be in attendance. She was going to get paid for the performance because she had become famous. She intended to give all the money to her heart-throb Julius for his upkeep. She was sick and tired of seeing him dressed so poorly and wanted him to always look nice and rich before her. She also intended to buy him a nice house and a nice car so that he uses his horse only on rare occasions, or better still, stop using it totally.

Julius heard the news from Juliana and showed it to Paul his best friend. He also told Paul that she has promised to buy him a nice house and a nice car as she kept showing her gratitude for being rescued by him. Paul warned him once again that the earlier he revealed his true identity to her, the better for him and that he shouldn't let her spend her money on irrelevant things that he already have in abundance. Julius told him that the time was not yet right for him to reveal who he really is to her but soon, he will be doing that.

Paul saw how beautifully charming Juliana was and his heart was full of jealousy for his friend. He imagined that if he suceeded in spoiling their relationship, he might have the chance to approach her and date her. He decided to let her know the whole truth about the so-called rescue that have made her fall in love with Julius. He tried his best to make sure he convinced her to believe him. He sent her a direct message on one of her major social media handles which he got to know about through his friend Julius, stating that his friend had discussed the plan with him before proceeding to actualize it. He also stated that the whole rescue exercise was fake, from the animal blood Julius had put in his nose and on his lips to the fighting of the thugs, saying that Julius had paid the thugs to be beaten up by him. Paul attached a media of himself and Julius together in three different pictures to further prove his claim as Julius's friend but he didn't expose him further as a prince and none of the pictures had Julius dressed like a prince, although he looked better than he appears before Juliana and the background of the pictures were tall buildings and beautiful environment.

It took three days before Juliana got the message. During one of her phone conversations with Julius, he had asked her if what her father said about her being bethroted to a prince from another kingdom was true and she had denied it lucidly that her father only said so to scare him away from loving her. She too had asked him if he had a girl in his life and he had also replied negatively to this. She had made it clear to him that the one thing she hates most in life is lies. She hates being lied to and urged Julius to tell her the truth at all times. Although she said this to let him know that if he was lying about not having a girl in his life, as handsome as he his, she won't like it if she later finds out that he was lying about it and that he has a girlfriend already before they met. Julius had assured her that he was single but she didn't know that he has been lying to her about his identity all these while.
