As soon as my eyelids fluttered open, I mind linked Courtney right away and said, 'Hey, I am at the Silver Moon Pack with my mate. You will have to take care of the clinic without me until I get back.'
'How is that possible? What did you do, drive all night?' she immediately linked back.
I chuckled through the mind link before I replied, 'No, I will explain when we return.'
'Okay, Matt. Have a safe journey back,' she cheekily responded before she cut the link.
When I glanced at my mate, she was staring straight up at the ceiling with a far off look in her eyes. I reached over and entwined my fingers with hers, and that was all it took for her to direct her gaze at me. Instantly, her pouty lips curved up to form a smile, before she softly murmured,
