Two days before the battle was expected to begin, the shewolves, pups, and elderly from the Pine Tree Pack were brought to our territory, so they would be safe from the fighting. I could tell Bethany was extremely nervous about it, but when she found out Carly had requested to stay with us, she got excited about that.
Having Carly at our cabin proved to be a great distraction for Bethany. They talked for hours about everything that happened while Bethany was at the Pine Tree Pack, and about all the stuff that had been happening since she left. It was nice to see Bethany engaging with her old friend. I could tell they had been friends since they were pups, because of how often they would refer to things from their past.
