Feeling hungry, I decided to head to the kitchen to grab a bite to eat. As I entered the kitchen, I saw Liam and Damien engaged in a lighthearted conversation. They seemed unaware of the tension swirling around me. Liam was busy preparing a sandwich while Damien leaned against the counter, sipping from a mug of coffee.
"Hey, Alpha! Come join us," Liam called out, his eyes brightening as he saw me.
I forced a smile, trying my best to appear composed despite the storm inside me. "Hey, guys. Mind if I join you?"
"Of course not," Damien replied, gesturing to an empty chair at the table.
I grabbed a plate and began to prepare a sandwich for myself, my mind still preoccupied with Anna and Lily.
