“Did you have a good time?” Henry asked her as soon as she entered the car.
Julie turned to him, a bright smile adorning her face, and it was all he could have asked for. Nevertheless, she told him, “Yes. Yes, I did.”
After a moment of comfortable silence, Henry told her hesitantly, “I got an interesting offer today.”
Yes, he was a shrink but he didn’t have his own practice. He worked in a public institution that dealt with addicts. The hours were good and the salary decent, but he had always wanted more, seeing as he was a man full of ambition.
“What kind of offer?” She questioned calmly, already feeling happy for him.
“An old college friend is offering to open a joined practice,” he deadpanned.
