By the time Carter and Sarah got home, Sarah was emotionally exhausted. Even though she tried to brush off the fact that the rumors didn’t really bother her, Carter knew better. Sarah had lived her life in the public eye. Not just because of her family, but also because of Alexander’s. Her divorce from him had become national news, and Sarah had to be in the spotlight more often than not these past few months. Now, work was becoming a public spectacle of its own, all because a few women couldn’t handle being told ‘no’.
