Chapter 6
After watching the movie, things between Carter and Sarah started to heat up. After playing a game of cat and mouse, or Carter’s case, wolf and human, Carter captured Sarah in a playful embrace and spun her in circles. After thoroughly giving her motion sickness, Carter looked into her eyes, and couldn’t help but mutter how beautiful she was.
Sarah’s pulse accelerated when she saw that Carter was leaning further to kiss her. Everything in her was telling her to pull away, but she didn’t want to. She told her mind to shove it and allowed their lips to touch. Carter’s kiss was hungry and passionate, nothing like her ex-husband, Alexander.
Sarah placed a hand on Carter’s cheek, which innately brought him even closer to her, and their kiss deepened to something more sensual. Slowly, Carter licked her lips, asking for permission, and Sarah gave it to him. Their tongues wrestled, and Sarah moaned. She slowly turned her body so that she could wrap her arms around his neck, and without a word, Carter started to walk backwards toward the couch and pulled her along with him without ever breaking their kiss.
When the back of his legs hit the couch, he sat down, and Sarah immediately straddled him. When their hips touched, Sarah gasped, feeling how hard Carter was. This was their first intimate moment together, and Jasper, Carter’s wolf, was howling in delight in the back of Carter’s mind. When Sarah pulled away to inhale much-needed oxygen, Carter moved his lips to her neck and sucked on the spot he hoped to one day mark.
“Ohhh…” Sarah moaned. She was shocked to find herself making such risqué noises, but what Carter was making her feel was nothing short of euphoric. “Carter…” she called out his name breathlessly.
“F*ck, just like that,” Carter groaned when he felt Sarah start to grind against his shaft. Sarah was ignited with a fire that she had never felt before, and the only thing screaming in her mind was how much she wanted Carter to have his way with her.
“Carter, please,” Sarah begged, not knowing what it was she was even begging for. Carter reached out and pulled the front of her blouse, effectively taking her bra with it. Without warning, he latched onto her left n*pple, making Sarah gasp again. Carter kneaded the other breast as Sarah leaned back and balanced herself by placing her hands on his thighs.
“Oh, god, Carter!” Sarah cried out when he suckled on her other n*pple a little more aggressively. Her n*pples were overly sensitive due to her pregnancy. Usually, she hated it when Alexnader messed with her breasts because he always made her feel like a dirty p*rnstar. But the way Carter was touching her fanned the flames of her growing desire.
Seeing how well Sarah was responding to him, Carter pulled away, pulled her shirt over her head, and reached behind her to unclasp her bra completely. Once her voluptuous breasts were free, Carter latched on again, but not for long. Sarah pushed him away to pull his shirt over his head as well. When she saw his well-defined and chiseled abs, Sarah’s mouth instantly watered. She slowly dragged her fingertips across his chest and torso. Carter’s labored breathing had his muscles pulsating under her fingertips.
“God, I just want to lick your abs,” Sarah said out loud, which stunned her.
“You can if you want,” Carter granted permission without hesitation. Sarah gulped, but slowly got up from Carter’s lap and pulled him to stand. As soon as he was on his feet, she got on her tippy toes and started to pepper every inch of his body with kisses. Carter let out a gasp of delight, feeling her lips all over him. He was so lost in the feeling of pure ecstasy that he didn’t realize that Sarah had pulled down his trousers and briefs, releasing the raging beast. Sarah’s eyes bulged out of their sockets for a moment. She couldn’t help but wrap her dainty hands around it.
“Fuuuuckkkk,” Carter groaned, feeling Sarah’s hands on his throbbing c*ck. He was suddenly caught off guard when she started to suck on him. “Holy sh*t!” Carter grunted, loving how well she was working him,
Sarah pulled away, allowing the tip to make a popping sound before asking, “You okay?” with a seductive and teasing tone.
“Yeah…” he replied with bated breath.
“Did I hurt you?”
“Nope.”
“Good.” Sarah went back to pleasing him, and Carter’s legs soon gave out on him, making him collapse onto the couch. Sarah made sure to pay attention to all of the sounds he was making so she knew what he liked and what he loved.
“Oh, f*ck, I’m going to c*m,” Carter mustered out from the haze. Sarah didn’t reply but started to suck harder and faster while simultaneously using her hands to create more friction. “F*ck! F*ck! I’m c*mming! Oh, f*ck!” Carter shouted at the top of his lungs as she pulled away and jerked him until he came undone. “Fuuuuccckkkk…” Carter continued to grunt and groan as she made sure every last drop of his c*m was out.
“Oohh…Looks like someone came a lot,” she teased when she saw the mess he made.
“Holy f*cking sh*t,” Carter said excitedly. Sarah couldn’t help but laugh. Sarah got up to get a towel to help clean up the mess while Carter stayed in his satiated state. He finally understood what it meant to be pleasured by his mate. Aries had downplayed how amazing it would be.
When they were done cleaning up, Sarah was putting her clothes back on when her phone suddenly rang. Without even thinking, she answered it and was shocked to her core to hear screaming at the other end.
Sarah was startled to hear her ex-husband screaming profanities at her and threatening her life and that of her child. Even without his werewolf hearing, Carter heard it. With his quick thinking, he instructed Sarah to place the call on speakerphone, and he began recording everything with his phone.
Threat after threat, Alexander made sure Sarah knew he wasn’t messing around. However, with her newfound freedom and confidence, Sarah refused to bend to his will. She defended herself and taunted Alexander. She ended the call and was running on pure adrenaline.
She feared for her life, and sensing that fear, Carter offered to keep her safe with the help of Allie and Dorian. Unfortunately, Sarah didn’t realize just how safe she was with her mate and cousin. Because of Alexander’s threat, Carter took her to the main packhouse, even though Allie was currently in California, confronting Sarah’s family and in-laws.
A few hours after the heart-pounding phone call, Alexander showed up at the pack territory; thankfully, Carter had already informed Brandon of what happened. Brandon took charge at the pack gate just as Allie was coming home with one of the main attorneys that would be representing Sarah in her a*sault case against Alexander.
Allie put a stop to Alexander’s tirade for the time being. Unfortunately, due to everything that was happening, Allie made the ultimate decision that Sarah needed to know the truth about who and what Allie and Carter were. At first, Sarah took the news that Allie was no longer human better than Allie had anticipated, when she finally believed her. Still, the stress of everything came crashing down on her, and Sarah collapsed in the pack hospital.
After dealing with a pack issue, Allie went back to the pack hospital to check on Sarah and found Carter with her.
“Wait, you didn’t go with the others?” Allie asked.
“No. Mikey said I could stay here and watch over her. He said they could handle Katana.”
“Oh.” Allie was surprised to hear this.
Allie and Carter spent the next few hours watching over Sarah, hoping she would wake up; unfortunately, it was wishful thinking on their part. After speaking with Carter for a little bit, and ensuring that he planned to devote to Sarah if she chose to accept him, Allie went to bed. Eventually, Carter fell asleep with his head on the hospital bed.
Once she was awake and coherent, she was apprehensive about Carter, but she had a million questions for Allie. Allie took the time to answer Sarah’s questions the best she could. Then the topic of the elephant in the room came up, and Allie had to take the time to explain the mate bond to her and why Carter was so in love with her so soon. Sarah had a hard time believing it, but when Allie got down to the nitty gritty details, Sarah’s heart palpitated, and something in her told her it was all real, and that Carter wasn’t too good to be true.
Allie pulled out the red carpet treatment for her cousin as she did everything she could to get Sarah the divorce she never actually got from that disgrace of a man, Alexander. And simultaneously, Allie not only destroyed his reputation but also took his company from him, effectively becoming the new CEO.
With Allie’s help, Sarah was finally free from Alexander. Her divorce hearing was scheduled for a few short weeks, but with Addison, the pack’s lawyer, on her side, Sarah was guaranteed an expedited divorce without having to wait the mandatory six-month cooling-off period.
Sarah was finally legally separated from Alexander and could openly be with Carter, who had proven to her that he loved her more than his own life and that he also loved her child as if it were his own. Sarah moved into Carter’s home with him within the pack territory, and over the next few weeks, she became used to the sight of giant wolves roaming around freely.
It helped that Carter and Allie would let their wolves out for Sarah to get to know them on a deeper level. Sarah was slowly getting acclimated to her life and couldn’t wait to see what the future had in store for her. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t be rainbows and unicorns as she had hoped.
