Chapter 16
Later that night, Sarah texted Allie, asking if she could come over to her house. Allie quickly sent a thumbs-up emoji and said she would be by in about two hours. She needed to spend time with the kids after dinner, and it was her turn to bathe them. Sarah sent a thumbs-up on her end as well and patiently waited.
She and Carter ate one of the pre-made meals Allie had prepared for them a few days earlier. Sarah made a mental note to thank Allie again for cooking such delicious and healthy dishes. When she saw how much Carter also enjoyed the food, she began to wonder if learning to cook wouldn’t be a good idea. The biggest concern she had was the enormous amount of food she would need to make to satisfy Carter’s vast appetite.
