Annabel's POV "Mmhm" A small groan escaped my lips as consciousness finally hit me. I let out a breath and lazily pushed my eyes opened. I was immediately attacked by the lights and squinted my eyes. I blinked against the soft morning light bleeding in through the blinds. Pale stripes cut across the wall and my arm, and for a second I had no idea where I was. The sheets smelled like detergent and soft chocolate. Something clean, warm, and unfamiliar in a way that made my stomach twist, but strangely not in fear, just… something else.
