No matter how a day turned out to be, there would be one thing you would be grateful for.
All of the emotional rollercoaster I had felt a while ago was slowly flushing away just because of this scene. Parents protect their children until they are of age and can look after themselves. I have been on that journey as a mother since the day my pups were born into this world. It was the vow I made to protect them until my last breath.
But today, in the face of an enemy, in a strange land, my little pups defended me and protected me from the enemy. This was an overwhelming moment for me.
