I took a deep breath as I watch Lantis lead the way. He's taking me to the underground cell where live sirens are kept. Today is the day where he will test my resolve, and I am not sure if I am really ready to do it—to kill someone with my own hands. I know sirens are way too different from humans, but they are still living beings; they have lives to live and I will be taking it away from them. "What am I going to do?" I asked Lantis as I descend the stairs. "How should I kill them?" "I'll fill you in with the details later," he said, offering his hand. "Come on. Let's go together." I nodded and accepted his hand.
