I left Killian and Reginald to go investigate what the unit of Mystics was up to on the territory. I walked after Demir and the other warriors with Bastet in his pather from right beside me. I kept an eye on Demir while walking slowly back to the village. He didn’t seem out of character at all and didn’t seem to suspect that I was watching him.
As we approached the village gates, I chanted, “ad normalem.”
Bastet shrunk back to his normal size and stayed close to me. I walked over to the weapons rack and placed my spear back in its holder.
Wren came up beside me at this time and said, “Hello Ember.”
I smiled at her while trying to watch Demir and where he was headed.
“Where’s Killian and Reginald?” Wren asked.
