Zaya was glad that everything will go back to normal. Kemet will rise back to its splendour again. The king will call the guardians back. Zaya couldn’t wait for their return.
“How do you know where Saphrina is?”
Saphrina’s return will mean everything she had set out to do was achieved, and she could start to live her life with Dage. That’s if he will have her, Zaya thought. She wasn’t exactly sure where they stood.
“I have my ways,” he said smiling at her. Zaya saw a glimpse of the old Sai. “She’s been living as a human for the past hundred years. She doesn’t remember anything. She must have lost her memory when she escaped. I’ve been alternating from watching her and worrying about you for the past three days.”
“Three days? I’ve been out for that long!” Zaya finally sat up.
