"Next," Lucia loudly called, and the guards brought forward a man accused of theft and murdering the local sheriff, the vendor he'd stolen from, the vendor's son, and the daughter of the dead sheriff. Lucia pulled out the notes from his folder, noting the crime had happened. Lucia glanced up at the man, quietly assessing his trembling, his downcast, red-rimmed eyes, and the way he hunched in on himself. "Proceed."
