At the end of the wedding reception, I told Aspen the hot mess I just got into.
"Aspen, Maeve wants me to move in with her and Nero by tomorrow." I said with a frown on my face. "She said that if I don't move in, I should kiss seeing my twin sister goodbye. She keeps using Ginny to get what she wants. I really hate her, heaven knows." I said in frustration.
"I'm sorry, Jem." Aspen held my hand and squeezed it gently.
"Not only that, my new stepfather is making me his personal assistant. I'm starting work on Monday by eight a.m." I said trying not to cry. "How am I supposed to live under the same roof with the two people I hate most in the world? Why does life seem to be so unfair to me?"
