"Did Maeve just faint?" Ginny said, trying not to laugh in the midst of the chaos in the courtroom.
"She's a clown." I chuckled. "She thinks this would change anything."
When Maeve was revived and the judge sentences her to jail for life, I hugged Ginny tightly. "Finally! She's out of our lives forever." My eyes filled with tears.
"Come on, don't cry. She's gone now, you said it yourself." Ginny wiped my eyes clean. "It's just sad that she killed Dad, and no matter any punishment meted out to her, won't bring him back. We have to be strong and move on." She adviced. "It's time for us to go back to work."
Getting myself together, I stood up and straightened my clothes. "Yeah, we have to go. I hope you recorded everything."
