We drove to my parents’ house without talking to each other. For some unknown reason, he suddenly grew uptight when he learned that we will be going to have dinner tonight with my family. And even if I told him that it’s all going to be okay because there’s no way in hell that I will act like there’s a huge problem between us, he still looks so bothered and problematic. “Are you scared that my parents would get mad at you for cheating on me?” I asked him while we were entering the village where my parents’ house is. He let out a heavy sigh before giving me a quick glance. “I am not cheating on you,” he said in a tone that is void of any humor. I smirked before looking back out the window. Did he really think I would believe him when he continues to withhold me the truth that I need?
