My ears burned when I heard Faye giggle. It was annoying and it made me aware she had made her move.
I remained at the back of the crowd patiently, covered beneath the awning of the stone veranda, with my arms crossed and eyes focused on what I came for.
Alexander's voice rang out like a polished politician. More like the devil's son. “Welcome, Alpha Lucien,” he said proudly and calmly.
