I held the lamppost and steadied myself. My heart slammed into my ribs, making my insides hurt. What I had just witnessed, I knew I would be haunted forever. “You Good?” Mason asks his voice somewhere from behind me. I shuddered, remembering his same voice loud and inquiring before the bore holes into the man taking his life. Like he had done to the other two. What I had expected him to do anyways? Politely ask them to not kill me? “I- I need to be alone, please,” I said not turning to him.
