It was around lunch in Stone Castle when Aurelio was called into the Queen’s office. Aside from the Queen, Lady Amara was there, with Lord Henry, Zab, Zander, and Aria.
“I trust that you have talked to Zafira.” Lady Amara started and Aurelio nodded.
“Yes, ma’am. And we have agreed to start over as acquaintances.” Aurelio said.
“Just acquaintances?” the Queen asked.
“Yes, your majesty.”
“We agreed that it’ll be better if we start like that, get to know each other, be friends and try to fall in love the normal way, as humans do,” Aurelio explained.
“You do realize that you are far from being human, right? You have marked her and the bond will only deepen, and the longing you have for each other will only increase. It’ll drive you both crazy,” Henry said, narrowing his eyes at Aurelio.
