Even though it was still a little painful to move, I didn't want him to leave me again. Knowing that he was my mate, I assumed he longed to be with me just as much as I did, and I wanted to make him feel tempted to leave his work for me.
He was waiting patiently in the room while Jane helped me get dressed. As she removed the bandage from my chest, my bruises were still visible, but I didn’t want to keep the bandage on.
I chose a beautiful light blue gown and asked Jane to create a hairstyle that was simple and understated.
