Corinna's POV
The Alpha's angry voice made me shiver inside my wolf's mind, and I felt even more terrified as I gradually regained control over my body. As I returned to my own senses, the pain began to torment me again—a sensation I had forgotten entirely while in my wolf form.
The Alpha reached for my arm, but when he caught sight of my battered body and face, he hesitated. "What?" he whispered, looking down at me as I lay motionless on the floor. "What happened to you, Corinna?" His voice shifted to one of concern. He carefully lifted me off the floor and laid me on the bed. His expression revealed that he was using mind-link, and I wasn’t surprised when there was a knock on the door moments later.
