Corinna's POV
When I woke up this morning, I expected to see the Alpha lying next to me, just like the day before. I was stunned to find myself alone in the bed. I looked around, still squinting, hoping to catch a glimpse of him somewhere in the room, but I couldn't even sense his presence.
For some reason, a wave of sadness washed over me at the thought that he must have left already. I tried to calm myself, reminding myself that he was an Alpha and likely had many responsibilities. I got up to find my gown and put it on. Afterwards, I sat back on the bed, unsure of what to do. The Alpha had instructed me to stay in the room the other day, and I was certain that his order was still in effect.
