Hey guys, thank you so much for sticking with me on this journey so far. I know this book isn’t quite the same as what I’ve written in the past, and trying something different always feels a little risky. Stepping outside a familiar rhythm can be uncomfortable, both as a writer and as a reader, so I genuinely appreciate you giving this story a chance and staying with it as it unfolds.
Up until now, I’ve been moving between Lila’s POV and Derek’s so you could see both sides clearly. Their feelings. Their intentions. The things they say out loud, and the things they don’t. I wanted you to understand not just what’s happening between them, but why. The misunderstandings, the quiet fractures, and the moments where they’re almost on the same page without realising it.
