For the next 3 weeks, Rose lacked for nothing, and had never been this pampered in her lifetime. Yet, no amount of desserts, and no amount of gifts, nothing really, managed to bring a genuine smile to her face. Ever since she had lost the baby she hadn’t even known she was carrying, she was no longer whole. And though Roman had assured her, time and time again, that it wasn’t her fault, she couldn’t help but think that it was. She had only gone back to the base a week ago.
