Rose had expected her training to be tough, but she hadn’t expected Roman to oversee it himself. She thought he would delegate the task, like the busy man he was.
Instead, he promised her that the moment she would hand in her resignation letter, things would change – and indeed, they did.
Although there were some times when Rose longed to hear words of affection, she had grown used to Roman’s love language. He was quite easy to figure out; he made time for her, allowed her liberties no one else had, and even made sure to cherish her in ways no one ever had before.
Sure, the beginning of their entanglement was unusual to say the least, and although she wasn’t exactly expecting a happy ending necessarily, she knew she would at least enjoy the journey while it lasted.
