‘What did you just say?’ Rose asked,her voice shrill as she tried to look back at him.
‘I said i love you’ Eric murmured softly as he leaned against her, ‘it’s OK, you don’t have to say it back, i know i haven’t been the best mate and i need to earn your love’ he added quietly.
Turning around to face him, Rose stared at him in silence, her voice lost as he looked back at her sadly.
