Rose was skittish, since Alpha Colt had threatened her, she had taken to placing the vanity across the door, it would have little effect over stopping the Alpha if he decided to come to her, but it gave her a small sense of security.
The women who brought her food now knocked timidly and waited for her to remove the barrier before handing her the food through the gap she made in the door.
Today though, not even her makeshift barricade was making her feel better, something within her was clawing at her, giving her a sense of unease that she just couldn’t shake.
A timid tap on the door brought her out of her thoughts, standing up from her position on the bed, she walked over to the vanity and tugged at the end as the lock clicked, until she had made a big enough gap to open the door.
