Rose stretched as her eyes tried to flutter open, wincing slightly as pain echoed in her bones. ‘Take your time child’ came a soft soothing voice, ‘you have exerted yourself and you are both tired.’ Opening her eyes, she found herself laying on a small single bed, the walls were painted a baby pink and a colourful hand knitted blanket was stretched out over the sheets underneath her. Looking around, she took in the shelves piled with stories and a large wooden dolls house that was placed under the bay window, that gave views of a small mountain range in the distance.
