We drove in silence to the council chamber. Today I was going to use my fire to eradicate the last threat to my mate bond, my bond, and my realm. Yes, I haven't been crowned queen, but I already feel the Demon Realm like my people.
Dominic silently grabbed my hand and sighed. I was sure he was still hesitant about letting me go through with this, and if I had been as insecure as before, I would have doubted he had leftover feelings for the woman, but this is me, the future queen, the one that deserves to be next to him. I am willing to go through with it, in order to be sure this is finally over.
