When Dominic told me that my father was looking for me, because my mother had an accident, my entire world stopped. Dom didn't give me enough information in order to know what my mom's status was, and that terrified me.
“Let's go, Sweetheart…” He took my hand in his, and, without blinking twice, he led the way to his car, and we drove away from this idyllic place and headed back to the Dragon Realm. It was late at night, and the long road felt eternal.
“We will be there shortly, Aisling…” Dom tried to reassure me while taking my hand in his. He was focused on the road ahead of us, and I was thankful to have him with me.
