Chapter Thirty-Nine
This was what he had always been searching for. His hands moved up Abby’s back and she shook against him. Her hands moved from his shoulders to his chest.
“Wh, why do I feel this way?” Abby said, her voice shaking . He could feel her struggling with the new bond that they shared.
She untangled herself from Eli’s arms and looked at him. “What did you just do to me?” She gasped out, leaning back to grab her glasses. “Eli, what did you do?”
Eli stood in shock, unable to find the words he needed to say as he watched her. Emotions clashed within him that he knew were not his own.
Hurt, anger, betrayal, and fear rolled through him as Abby worked through what had just happened. She glared at him as she pushed him away, slipping off of the speaker to stand in front of him.
