Chapter Thirty-Six
Abby’s eyes widened. “Not much to tell, I grew up in a small town, then decided to move here for work. I’m pretty boring.” She said with a smile. “What about you?”
“Oh, well, I grew up with Eli and Drake. Not really much to tell, either.” She said with a shrug. Candy didn’t know if Abby knew about werewolves, and didn’t want to be the one to tell her about it. She tensed as she watched Eli lean over and grab Abby’s hand. Trying to fight down the stab of jealousy that she could feel creeping in. It hurt to see him and Abby together. She had always hoped that she would end up with Eli. Seeing them together, she knew that wouldn’t happen.
“I think I’ll go grab a drink. I need to talk with Dev about something,” Candy said, standing quickly. “See you guys later.”
