Chapter One Hundred and Twenty Six
Annie’s heart raced as she ran down the empty streets. Tears burned at her eyes and her throat felt tight. She had betrayed her sister again. She didn’t know how Abby would ever be able to forgive her.
If the situations were reversed, she wasn’t sure she would be able to forgive her twin.
Then again, Abby was stronger than her. She always had been.
Annie rounded the corner and slammed into a hard, muscular chest. She jumped back, her hands coming up as she moved away from the man in front of her. She was afraid it would be another shifter or someone tied into the supernatural world. That they would take her back to Beau because even though he hadn’t claimed her, she smelled of him.
