Chapter One Hundred and Twenty Eight
Eli watched Sam go and then looked over at Annie and Candy. She was his mate’s sister and he could tell she was exhausted and scared. He was still leery of trusting her.
Candy stood beside her, she had a hand resting on Annie’s wrist. A look of concern on her face. It was obvious something was going on with his friend and Annie. He watched the two of them for a moment before speaking.
“Candy, why don’t you get Annie set up with a room so she can get some rest? I need to get the pack together and let them know what’s going on.”
Candy nodded before shyly peeking over at her mate. Who she had a name for now.
“Annie.” She whispered to herself before smiling at the woman. “Come on, I’ll get you settled in.”
