Sapphire put her feet up on a stool and grimaced as Drake, sitting immediately opposite her, talked to his brother on the phone. All he did was complain about what she wanted to name their baby. His suggestions had been silly human names with no imagination.
Eventually the conversation turned to Drake telling his brother to call his mother and Sapphire rolled her eyes as he ended his call and looked at her.
“I saw what you did there,” she smirked.
“She’s making me crazy,” Drake groaned and rubbed his fingers into his eyes. “I swear Sapphire, my entire life she has made me berserk but since you’ve been pregnant, the Guild thing is done and we’ve gotten married, she’s always around.” He looked around the room nervously and whispered, “I’m not convinced she isn’t here right now.”
