"Your Majesty"
We both looked behind to see Fredrick and Oliver standing before us. They bowed before Oliver kneeled on the ground taking me by surprise.
"Your majesty I am at your humble service! "
I gulp glancing at Regina who was staring at me. We frown and I blink unable to decide my words in reply.
"Um." I clear my throat.
"Oliver. What brings you here? "
"Who is he? " Regina softly whispers.
I glance at her but Fredrick answers for me.
"He is your Majesty's second guard. Since I am unable to attend to you all day I believe Oliver can stay by your side and help if needed. "
I give Fred a weird look before walking to him.
"Why isn't he where he is supposed to be? With the Knights? "
Fred looked at me and lowered her gaze again.
"Madam. I believe you took him under his wing after the unfortunate incident at the training grounds. He would be beheaded if you dispose of him. Therefore do as you wish. "
My mouth almost hung open but I knew better than to show such embarrassing emotions.
"I-"
I didn't know he would be sent to me.
"Well. Uh. Sure." I look at Regina as she stands there in confusion.
I already had Fredrick as my messenger and Clara as my guard. Plus Maya or Lydia always followed me with them.
It would be such a trouble having so many around me while I carried my basic routines.
I hesitate but finally decide to hand him over to Her Highness.
I look at Oliver and smile as I gesture to him to raise.
"You will be stationed at my library with Princess Regina. You will be her primary messenger and guard".
" Madam! " I heard Regina's soft voice.
"Madam he is your guard"
"I am appointing him as yours. Well then. That's settled. Oliver, I hope Fredrick has shown you to your quarters. And your roles will be explained in detail tomorrow.. "
He bowed and they left us alone.
"I-I do not think my uncle would like me having a guard"
I frown, " You are a princess. Of course, you need one.".
She dropped her head nodding.
"There is no need to worry. You can always tell him I was the one to make such decisions."
She nodded again with a faint smile. I couldn't understand why she looked so scared. I had to get to the bottom of this.

I take my hair pins off placing them over the desk as Maya enters my chambers.
"Are you alright? " I ask.
"Yes, Madam. I was unwell. Forgive me. "
I nodded keeping my earrings in Lydia's hand. I noticed Maya's fidgety behaviour but chose to ignore it.
Wearing a simple gown and having my hair down but only a few strands pinned up I made my way to the dining room for supper.
As always it was empty with only the 4 guards stationed at the doors. I sigh sitting down.. Extremely hungry.
I was busy having the soup when I heard the doors barge open. I almost dropped my spoon seeing the King.
I could quite literally sense his anger. My eyes subtly glance at the guard who gulped standing still.
I stood up. My hands press on the tabletop and I look at him.
He was soaked in rain outside as he dropped his coat kept his sword over the table and took off his light armour tossing it on the ground.
I could feel my body tremble as he walked straight to me. His eyes deepen as I stare at them. Water dripped his hair to his neck. His skin was shining under the candlelights above us.
His lips were apart as if he were about to speak while his hands were in fists.
I wish I could deny it. But I am a sinner. I liked it, I liked my fear towards this man. I liked how the king had me on my last nerves ready to run away. Because somewhere in my body I felt butterflies.
I knew he wouldn't hurt me. But that feeling of almost seeing him in anger ready to grab me and take me was much unexpected.
His face was rigid today as he closed our distance and pulled me into his cold body kissing me.
Shocked. I stood still. My hands pressed over his chest as he roughly kissed my lips his hands gripping my waist and others on the back of my head.
I couldn't keep up. Whimpering at the pain of his teeth against my lower lip.
I pulled away to catch a breath and my head hung low while he pushed my head ahead to lean on his chest and kissed my head.
I didn't know what to say. I was too engrossed in the feeling of his hand over my waist. The soft fabric let his hand feel my curves and feel his warmth although he was soaked.
"S-supper? "
I asked.
"Hmm," That was all he answered kissing my neck and making me bite my lip hard to hold my moan. I wanted to get away from him just to take a breath. Because he left me breathless, hot and wet before sitting on the chair beside me.
"Serve" His voice booms through the area as the maids scramble to serve him.
His hand casually over my back resting on the head of my chair, while his other rubbed a tower over his wet hair, as the butler slowly served him and put a plate of cream stew before me.
I bite my lip at the silence as he eats his plate while the butler serves him wine. I shook my head when he offered me some. I had to wake up tomorrow with a fresh head to get some things done.
"You have appointed Oliver as your guard?"
His voice touches my ear and I almost jerk away realizing how close he was. I didn't even notice him lean into me. Turning my head to him, our lips almost touching I shook my head.
"I-I do not need so many guards. Having Fredrick and Clara follow me everywhere is overwhelming enough, so I stationed him in my library. Where Lady Regina works."
My heart sank after I realized I had taken her name. She had specifically told me not to tell anyone and what if the King was against it?
I gulp looking at him waiting for his reaction but he was busy eating.
"D-Do you mind her working with me?" I asked
I had no desire to approach this subject. But It was better I talked about it before he did something.
"No."
A simple 'No' followed.
I frowned. If the king had no objections against her, why would she be so anxious about it? Surely the family wouldn't care if the King did not right?
Before I knew it, I sat before the fire warming my feet when I felt him stand behind me. My heart stopped as his lips softly touched my neck. I couldn't help but close my eyes and love it
