Chapter Fifty-One
The pain grew worse and gold flickered around my vision. My wolf wanted control, and he was willing to keep us in human form to take it. Another wave of pain hit me and it felt like those claws were ripping through my insides.
“Nevie.” I panted her name, gripping the steering wheel tighter. My knuckles turned white as I drove on. I didn’t look at the speedometer, I didn’t need to.
Before I knew it, I was in front of Nevie’s apartment building. My wolf was barely contained. I passed through the open door of the building, noticing the broken handle that had been flung into the grass.
