Chapter Forty When I was clean, I turned the water off, drying my body before slipping on my clothing. I didn’t bother drying my hair, instead letting the damp strands fall around my shoulders. I straightened the bathroom, hanging up my towel before flipping the light off and heading down the hallway towards the kitchen. I didn’t know what I was going to do for breakfast.
