Matt chuckled as he agreed and watched Atom poking the nest with a stick; he knew that it would not be long before he’d never see him again and for some reason that made him sad. He’d never been one for sentimental feelings, of course when you’re on a mission with someone then they are your family and you treat them so. Before when that was over he’d push that aside and move on, now he was questioning his motives in the past, was he right to be that way and had they all been correct he was just a killing machine.
Time to change and that meant completely or not at all, he never done anything in half measures, when this is over and if he comes out of it in one piece then that the path he’d now take he hoped anyway. Decision made now concentrate on the job in hand.
