So far so good, the day had been going well.
I was happy and worried at the same time.
Happy because I couldn’t stop replaying the moment Darius said he loved me. His exact words were — “I’m madly in love with you.” Those words kept ringing in my head, soft and addictive, making my heart flutter every time I thought about them.
But I was also worried.
I knew Darius. He didn’t let things go easily, and after what my father said yesterday, I was sure he would confront him. The thought of the two of them in the same room again made me uneasy. Still, I knew Darius wouldn’t hurt him… at least I hoped he wouldn’t. No matter how I hated my father, I still didn't want Darius to hurt him.
I just wished he’d tell me more about himself, about his world.
