POV: Darius "I asked you a question, Adriana." My voice was low, sharp, cutting through the thick silence between us. I didn’t raise it, I didn’t need to. The weight in my tone was enough. Her shoulders stiffened, and I could see the way she froze as she just stood there, looking at me. She looked at me like a child caught stealing cookies, her wide eyes full of surprise and fear.
