Roman: Bill never was one of incessant conversation. She was a curious observer more than anything. This time, however, as we trekked our way through the forests of Ethra. We pushed through as quickly as we could. There was no telling when Adanis would awaken, I had already sensed that he would not take what I had done to him lying down. I didn’t care. He was lucky that I didn’t do worse. “Do you think that he will come after us?” I heard her ask. I regarded Bill for a moment. It was the first time she’d spoken since we left the castle. There was a lot on her mind, I didn’t need the benefit of telepathy abilities to realize that. “She speaks,” I said as we continued walking. This wasn’t the response that she desired. She stopped me. “Roman?” her hands tightly gripped my arm.
