He’d hardly given me space to deny his command before he stormed back into the castle to see to the interruption of his plans.
As soon as he disappeared into the castle, I stood and quickly followed after him. I hadn’t reached the door before I was intercepted by one of the guards. He was a giant against me, and his hard glare was pointedly on me. I would have been intimidated, had I not lived the harsh life that I was born into up until this point.
