JC'S POV As soon as I got home, I took a cold shower to get rid of the boner that I've been having for the past few hours. I don't know what is wrong with me. Why can't I stop thinking about her? What is it about her that makes her different? I've had my fair share of girls, but none of them has ever managed to stay glued to my mind like she does, and I haven't even slept with her or kissed her. Brianna. The name suits her very well. She's beautiful, I'll give her that, and she has the brightest smile I've ever seen, but it's not like she is the first beautiful girl I've ever seen in my life. The shower didn't help, but it's not like it was going to since I was still thinking about her and what I would do if I ever laid my hands on her beautiful skin. I wonder if it is as soft as it looks. And that smart mouth, I wonder what it tastes like. Fuck! I need to stop thinking about her before I embarrass myself. This is not me! This is not Jacob Charles at all. I need to do something to distract myself from her. I decided to prepare for the party. At least there will be lots of girls and that will be a good opportunity to find a distraction. When I was done, I made my way downstairs and came face to face with a very furious Paige. When she saw me, she went to the couch and sat down. "I'm done with men! Like what the f**k? " I don't know if I want to hear what my sister has to say about men, but I know she will tell me nonetheless. "Tell me, Jay, is there something wrong with me? Like when you really look at me, do you think something is missing? " "What are you talking about? There will never be anything wrong with my little sister. You're perfect." "Just pretend that I'm not your little sister, I'm just a girl you attend school with. Do I look like someone who you would date?" And of course, my mind went back to one particular girl who made me question my decision of not dating. Her beautiful smile made me smile subconsciously. "Of course I would. You're perfect." "Are you even talking about me? Jay, this is a serious matter." I didn't even realise I had said that. I took a deep breath and sat next to her. "Why don't you tell me what happened?" I feel like I need to hear where all this is coming from. "I met this new guy at school and he asked me out. I agreed, and everything was going well until today. I saw him with another girl. "That's not even the worst part. I am more beautiful than she is and younger. I don't understand why he would leave me for her. What do I lack?" "How old is the guy?" "He's 24 and I think that girl is maybe 17 or 18, I don't know." "What the f**k! What are you doing with a guy who's 24 when you're only 16? Who is that guy?" Someone, please tell me that I am dreaming, that my little sister is not dating someone older than her own brother! Okay, I didn't tell you this to judge me. I just wanted your advice, and you have no right to judge me. You're worse. " "I have never slept with a girl who's eight years older than me. Don't even think of using that card with me." "Who said I was sleeping with him? I don't sleep with every guy I meet. I still have dignity for your information. I am not like you. "You think I don't know what you and your friends do? You have no self-control and you sleep with everything with a v****a. "I might date a 24-year-old guy but I'm not inviting him between my legs. I haven't met that person who will have that privilege." Even though I'm angry at her, at least now I know she is still a virgin. If I meet the guy she thinks will have that privilege, I will break his bones. "Don't go back to that guy and stop comparing yourself to me. I am older than you and, of course, a guy. What I do shouldn't be any of your concern." I decided to leave her before she said anything. My sister has a bad habit of talking back and I'm not in a mood to argue with her. I decided to do something while waiting for seven-thirty, the time for the party. I made my way to the kitchen to get something to eat. "Good afternoon sir." Olivia, the new maid my mom hired, greeted me as soon as she saw me. Her mom was our nanny before she died, and when mom found out that she had nowhere to go, she decided to hire her. "I've told you numerous times to call me by my name, Olivia." "I'm sorry, sir. I will try." I knew she was just saying that so that I would drop the subject, but I decided to act ignorant and play along. "Did you prepare lunch? I'm really hungry." "Your mom said it was unnecessary because you are the only person who eats lunch in this house, so I decided to buy you a burger instead and french fries." "Thank you." That's not bad at all, although I would've loved a home-cooked meal. I don't know why my mom likes to make decisions for me without my knowledge. I thought things would be better now that we have someone working here again. My mom doesn't like her house full of strangers, so she rarely hires anybody. When Olivia's mom died, she didn't want to hire new people until she learned that Olivia had nowhere to go. She's responsible for every chore in the house and she is good at her job. On top of that, she is friendly and disciplined, which is something my mom really likes about her. Before I met her, I never really paid any attention to domestic workers and I didn't care at all. Because of that, I didn't care about what happened to her after her mom died. When mom told us about Olivia's story, I realized I knew nothing about what was going on in this world. I know there is nothing I can do to help, so I just try to be nice to her all the time. Her salary is generous and will be able to help her through college which is something she really wants. She's been out of high school for three years now and since she is passionate about studying, I know it must hurt her a lot to be working instead of studying. I decided to leave when it was thirty minutes before the party time and all my friends were already there. As soon as they saw me, they all came to me and pulled me inside. I was right about one thing, Callum did plan this party before he even got my consent. He just needed an excuse to throw a party.
